DRIVER ASSESSING
Aims and Objectives:
The Driver will be assessed on all aspects of their vehicle daily checks and driving including hitching/unhitching of trailer if relevant.
Corrective tuition and an assessment report will be provided with feedback following the assessment.

Why do this course?
We offer driving assessments and familiarisation on all commercial vehicles including Van, Minibus, Car/Van and trailer, Bus, and Lorry (both Rigid and Artic). Reasons for assessments can be repeated accidents by a particular driver in a relatively short space of time which may cause concern. To satisfy insurance company's that your drivers are receiving ongoing assessments and driver development which may result in lower premiums. Staff may have a vocational licence for the particular vehicle they are being asked to drive but may have gained the licence on acquired (Grandfather) rights so never actually taken a driving test on that vehicle or even driven that vehicle on the road.

ASK YOURSELF WOULD THEY BE SAFE ???
Below are two examples of acquired rights licence holders
~ Drivers who passed their category B (car) driving test before 1997 have grandfather (Acquired) rights and are able to drive a 7.5-tonne truck without taking another test. They will have the C1 entitlement on their licence, which covers vehicles from 3.5- 7.5-tonnes GVW

They will have the D1 entitlement on their licence, which covers vehicles of up to 16 seats.
