Nearly a quarter of all deaths involving vehicles at work occur while the vehicle is reversing. Many more accidents do not result in injury but cause costly damage to vehicles, equipment and premises. Most accidents happen at low speeds and could be prevented by taking some simple safety precautions.

 
 
 

REVERSE BANKSMAN

 

Aims and Objectives:

 

This course is designed to train individuals in the safe practice of Banksman Duties of all types of vehicles.

 

Course content:

 

~ Health and Safety legislation relating to Personal Protective Equipment.

~ Theory relating to Banksman duties in various working environments.

~ HSE and Road Transport Industry Training Board recommended code of signals.

~ Identification of hazards and positioning of Banksman for his/her safety.

~ Theoretical and practical assessment of competency.

Course duration:
  3.5 Hrs, two courses can be conducted in one day 9:00-12:30 / 13:00-16:30 maximum 3 candidates per course.  
 
  Course fee 180 Instructor per 3.5hr session + 40p per mile instructor travel.
  Course conducted on customers premises and vehicle
 
     
 

Course requirements

A good sized area of the yard, that is not in use, must be made available to conduct the training to ensure trainer and delegate safety. This must not involve using a public road.

Any vehicle can be used as long as the area supplied is able to accomodate this vehicle
