Drivers who passed their
B (car) driving test before 1997 have

and are able to drive a D1 minibus
without taking another test. They will
have the D1 entitlement on their
licence, which covers vehicles of up
to 16 seats. You may be able to drive
a minibus with up to 16 passenger
seats using your current car driving
licence as long as there’s no payment
from or on behalf of the passengers
(it’s not for ‘hire or reward’).
